This release note documents the new features, changes, and bug fixes to the RightScale Dashboard that are specific to RightScale Partners.
Several improvements were added the Partners section to facilitate a more user-friendly experience. Previously, users would be prompted to login again in order to accept an invitation.
Changes
- If a user is already logged into their RightScale account and receives an invitation to another account, he/she will not have to log in again.
- If an invitation is sent to a sharing group, a user will not have to log in again if he/she is already logged into their current RightScale account.
- If invitations are sent to users who do have a RightScale account, they must create an account using the same email that received the invitation.
- When users accept an invitation to a shared RightScale account, they will see a "welcome" help screen that shows the shared components (ServerTemplates, Macros, RightScripts, etc.)
- Click the 'Memberships' tab under Settings -> Account to view and remove your current sharing group access.
- See Sharing Groups.
New Features
- Partners can now create sub-accounts. Sub-account users will use the master account's AWS credentials. See Sub-accounts.
- Create a sharing group to grant access to specified components (RightScripts, ServerTemplates, macros). Invite users to a sharing group and configure their permissions. The sharing features provide excellent control and flexibility for creating a unique Dashboard experience that is specific to your customers' needs. See Sharing Groups.
