Create a Production deployment

Table of contents
  1. 1. Objective
  2. 2. Create a New Deployment

Objective

To create a deployment to hold your production environment.

NOTE: You can only create a deployment with a Developer or Premium account.

Create a New Deployment

Go to Manage -> Servers -> Deployments.  By default, there is always a Default deployment.  If you do not specify a deployment when creating EC2 instances, they will automatically be saved under the Default deployment.

But, we want to create a custom deployment for production use.  Click New.

Name the new deployment, Production and give it a short description. Click Save.

Click on Production and you can see what's inside the deployment.

Right now it's empty, but now you have a deployment where you can add all of your ServerTemplates.

I am not sure the following statement is correct for Developer account. I failed to create deployment server. I just have "default" -- Could someone please update the Wiki or prove me wrong!
