To create a deployment to hold your production environment.
NOTE: You can only create a deployment with a Developer or Premium account.
Go to Manage -> Deployments. By default, there is always a Default deployment. If you do not specify a deployment when creating EC2 instances, they will automatically be saved under the Default deployment.
But, we want to create a custom deployment for production use. Click New.
Name the new deployment, Production and give it a short description. Click Save.

You now have a Production deployment. You can create as many deployments in your account as necessary. Create or clone deployments. For example, once your Production deployment is fully operational, simply clone it and rename the cloned deployment "Staging." In just a few clicks you can have an exact duplicate of your production deployment that your QA or Development team can use for testing and development purposes. Creating a duplicate of your production setup in traditional data center or colocation facility could take weeks to configure and very costly. In the cloud, you can create multiple deployments that are ready to be launched on-demand and terminated at any time. Remember, deployments are totally free. You only have to pay for instances that you launch. As you can see, deployments are extremely powerful and flexible.

Right now it's empty, but now you have a deployment where you can add all of your servers.
