Sign-up for RightScale

Welcome!  Thanks for your interest in RightScale and for following this guide to getting set up with your new RightScale Account.  There are a few different accounts that you can set up, so please follow this guide and choose the one that is appropriate for you.

Welcome!  Thanks for your interest in RightScale.  Our goal is to provide our users with the best tools possible to successfully launch and manage their applications in the cloud!  To get started, please sign-up for one our accounts.  To learn more, please see our Plans & Pricing.

  • Free Trial - Receive 10 complimentary server hours on EC2.  If you are new to RightScale and Amazon Web Services (AWS), sign up for our Free Trial edition and follow one of our beginner tutorials to see how easy it is to launch a running server on EC2 in just minutes.
  • Free Developer Edition - If your free trial has expired, you can continue to use the RightScale Dashboard.  Simply sign-up for AWS and validate your AWS credentials inside the Dashboard.  We have thousands of users of our Developer Edition who run production-ready applications on the cloud.   However, it is a "slimmed down" version of the Dashboard, which does not include many of our advanced features such as monitoring, deployments, autoscaling, arrays, alert specifications and escalations, and more.  If you are interested in learning about upgrading to one of our pay editions, please contact us.
  • Website Edition - Everything you need to run a full customer-facing website on cloud infrastructures, including Amazon EC2, with scalability and reliability.
  • Grid Edition - Control and manage any background or batch processing worker tasks in a scalable, fault-tolerant, and audited environment. An ideal solution for processing numerous datasets.
  • Premium Edition - Combines both the Website Edition and Grid Edition to give a total solution for web businesses that require both a scalable customer-facing web application and back-end batch processing.
